A New Beginning – A Sunrise Wedding
Venue: Bickley Point, Mosman Park
I met the lovely and dynamic James and Tuuliki over a beer at The Moon Cafe in Northbridge where they told me of their bold plan to have their wedding take place at sunrise on the river. I was immediately excited about what I knew straight away would be a very special wedding.
The reason for the unusual start time? Simple: James and Tuuli wanted their ceremony to take place at the start of the day; a symbol of the start of the life together. It also helps that James is a professional photographer and he knew the light of dawn would make for spectacular photos. He was right.
This wedding had it all! A stunning backdrop, a moving entrance by the bride and her father, very memorable involvement of family and friends (some all the way from Tuuli’s native Estonia) and James even memorised his vows in Estonian.
Yes it was a bit cold, but this couple and their guests were so filled with warmth that we hardly noticed it. I was also honoured to be MC for the beautiful and fun breakfast reception.
Thanks James and Tuuli! This is one I will never forget.
one great life
